The Environment Book Prize

"The environment is free for all"

In 2006, the Veolia Environnement Foundation decided to create the Environment Book Prize.

Through this initiative, it wants to encourage the book world to publish works aimed at raising public awareness of the environmental challenges of the planet, the actions taken to meet them, and the considerations inspired by such a subject.

Once every year, this prize rewards a published French-language work addressing the environment in all possible literary forms (essay, novel, comic strip, photo album, testimony or investigation).

The Book Prize jury is chaired by the writer Claude Michelet and has ten members: journalists, students, outside personalities and employees of the Veolia Environnement company.
