The Foundation: the players

With over 1,000 applications received and 155 projects supported every year, the Veolia Environnement Foundation has set up an effective organization to respond as quickly as possible to the requests received.

The founders

The Veolia Environnement Foundation was set up for a period of five years. Its founders are the company itself and its four divisions.

Board of Trustees

The Board of Trustees determines the major policy directions of the Foundation and ensures sound management. Its chairman is Henri Proglio and its Vice-President is Raymond-Max Aubert. Its other members are personalities from both inside and outside the company, chosen for their particular merits and their interest in the Foundation's work.

Selection Committee

The Selection Committee brings together Veolia Environnement employees with a broad range of professional expertise (legal, financial, operational, etc.) that enables it to consider projects from all angles.

Its role is to examine and select projects eligible for a grant from the Foundation and decide on the amount of the grant allocated, which in the case of long-term projects may span several years. In addition, it is responsible for evaluating the projects supported with a view to drafting guidelines and fine-tuning future programs.

Permanent Staff

A permanent team is responsible for everyday preparation and monitoring of projects and relations with sponsors and project leaders.

Selection Committee

32 projects were selected at the selection committee of May 27, 2008: 14 in Outreach, 10 in Workforce Development and 8 in Environmental Conservation.
The next committee will be held on July 01, 2008.
