Monais, European and Maggy, African. Their lives are devoted to rebuilding other's - from women living on the streets in France to female soldiers and children left orphaned by the war in Burundi.

2006

February: "Kinkeliba" (pdf - 486 ko)
An association creates a healthcare centre in the heart of the bush to combat plagues and mother and child mortality in southwestern Senegal.

June: « Mahajanga » (pdf - 2353 ko)
In Madagascar, the non-profit group, Children of the World - Human Rights, gives new hope to children threatened by illness, exhaustion from physical labor, crime and prostitution.

The Veolia Environment Foundation awarded its first "Environnement Book prize. The award was given to Robert Barbault for his book "An Elephant in a Game of Skittles".

August (bis) : "Using microcredit to fight poverty" (pdf - 185 ko )
In Brazil and India, the Veolia Environnement Corporate Foundation supports microcredit programs for populations excluded from the banking system.

November: "Travel and Sport for all"  (pdf - 1321 ko)
Sport fosters integration, and when offered to young disabled pupils, it can help them find their bearings at school, and can even produce future Paralympic champions. The Veolia Environnement Foundation lends it support to such campaigns.

Up and running for a year and a half, the Veolia Environnement Foundation continues to focus on its mission, bolstered by the support of company employees. Nearly 200 of our employees - vital links between the foundation and the field - have volunteered as sponsors.

A museum, a hospital, a VE employee and private foundation work together to decorate the basement areas of the Armand-Trousseau Hospital and brighten the surrounding of hospitalized kids.
