#### The Veolia Foundation is helping the French Red Cross and the Qatari and Iraqi Red Crescent to supply drinking water to the Khazer 2 camp, located 30 km east of Mosul in Iraq. This refugee camp is home to 2,500 families, or around 20,000 people. For several weeks, Veoliaforce volunteers have been helping the Red Cross to supply drinking water to refugee camps in Hasansham, including the new Khazer 2 camp. The team installed an M40 plant to treat the water from the river that runs alongside the camp. This purifies 200m3/d of raw water by coagulation-flocculation, followed by decantation and chlorine disinfection. Eventually, production capacity will reach 300m3/d.
