In Dubai, where the Foundation was present at the International Humanitarian Aid & Development Conference & Exhibition (DIHAD), the Aquaforce 15,000 was warmly received. This mobile water treatment unit is expected to supply drinking water to 15,000 people using an ultrafiltration membrane process. Developed in partnership with the Toulouse-based company Polymem, the Aquaforce is once again placing the Foundation at the heart of innovation. Following on from the Aquaforce 500 and the Aquaforce 5000, this equipment is another milestone for emergency interventions.
Present during the two days of DIHAD, the Secretary of State for Development and Francophonie André Vallini visited the Veolia Foundation stand. Thierry Vandevede, Executive Officer of the Foundation, presented the Aquaforce 15,000 to him and the partnership developed with Polymem, which is behind the project. The French Government representative welcomed the fruitful collaboration between a regional SME and the Foundation of a group such as Veolia.
With this new innovation, the Foundation is helping to promote French know-how on the international humanitarian scene and capitalizing on its extensive network of partners.
