The 3rd United Nations Ocean Conference, known as UNOC3, will take place in Nice from 28 May to 13 June 2025. This major global event brings together countries from around the world to agree on better protection for the ocean and its resources. The first edition took place in New York in 2017, the second in Lisbon in 2022.
Ahead of this international meeting, the schooner Tara will set sail from Lorient, its home port, to Nice, making several stops along the way to raise public awareness and encourage political commitment. There will be two stages to this journey:
- A route from Lorient to Nice with several stops where important topics will be addressed,
- Participation in the 3rd United Nations Ocean Conference, which will take place in Nice in June 2025.
