The Veolia Foundation Environment Book Prize

Books to build awareness of the challenges facing the planet.

Every year since 2006, the Foundation has awarded an Environment Book Prize to support and promote writers and publishers who help build public awareness of the major challenges facing the planet. The jury meets twice a year: in May to select the shortlisted works and on the day of the awards ceremony to announce the winner.

We believe in the power of books, their capacity to appeal to our conscience and their role of providing information. We believe that when publishers produce books on this topic, they make a substantial contribution to building awareness of environmental challenges and the need to protect our resources.

FUNCTIONING:

The jury meets twice a year: in May to select the "nominees" and in July to designate the winners.
