Bringing care to the doorstep

🌍 World Health Day 2026
Deployment of the first Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) by the Wockhardt Foundation

Recently, a new Mobile Medical Clinic took to the roads of Gujarat, India—marking a significant step forward in our mission to ensure that no community is left behind when it comes to essential services.

This vital initiative, led by the Wockhardt Foundation and proudly supported by Veolia India and the Veolia Foundation, officially launched to bridge the gap between rural populations and the basic care they deserve.

🏥 Why is this initiative so important?

In many parts of Gujarat, distance is the biggest barrier to health. For thousands of people, seeking medical advice often means losing a day's wages and traveling long distances.

This mobile clinic changes the narrative by providing:

  • Direct Access: Bringing primary healthcare, free medicines, and diagnostic tools directly to the heart of villages.
  • Preventative Care: Early detection of illnesses and health awareness programs to improve long-term community resilience.
  • Targeted Support: Dedicated services for women and children, who are often the most affected by the lack of local infrastructure.

✨ A Partnership for Impact

At the Veolia Foundation, we believe that health is the first line of defense for Ecological Security. There is no resilience without a healthy population capable of facing environmental challenges.

Beyond medical care, the project creates a powerful synergy with Veolia India employees. Through skills-based sponsorship, our teams are involved in education programs for water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH).

By partnering with the Wockhardt Foundation and our teams at Veolia India, we are turning our commitment into concrete action on the ground.
